Bird-watching in Julatten

Bird-watching in Julatten

Here is a beautiful photograph of the Blue-faced Parrot Finch in the tall grass at Sweetwater Lodge, taken by our recent return visitors from Adelaide. They also managed to take some great video footage of these birds during their stay and will be releasing a film of birds in Far North Queensland hopefully by the end of this year. Clearly these beautiful birds love our northern Tablelands property as much as our guests love staying in our luxury Tablelands Accommodation! Sweetwater Lodge in Julatten is a bird-watchers paradise. The many different habitats on our 160 acre property attract a huge variety of birds. Other popular ones to spot in this area such as Victoria’s Rifle Bird, Lovely Fairy-wren, Large-tailed Nightjar, Noisy Pitta, Lesser sooty Owl, Buff-breasted Paradise Kingfisher, Rainbow Bee-eater and numerous Honeyeaters can all be spotted at Sweetwater during the varying seasons. There are easy walking tracks throughout the property, views to die for and a lovely private rainforest walk. So if you are coming to Julatten to do some bird-watching Sweetwater Lodge is the perfect nest for you!
