Platypus

Here’s a great photo of our resident platypus taken by one of our guests Toni Moran a couple of weeks ago. Toni is a professional photographer and you can view some of her images at http://www.earthdreaming.com.au

The photo was taken in the morning in our Platypus Pond, a beautiful area of our creek and also a popular swimming hole during the warmer summer months. We have a fantastic undercover area called the Platypus Hut on the edge of the creek overlooking the swimming hole which is a great place to sit and unwind and watch for our wildlife and bird life. There are sun loungers and table and chairs and stools and a kitchenette.

Julatten offers our guests a perfect spot for viewing wildlife and bird life and it’s just half an hour from Port Douglas in the Hinterland and on the northern edge of the Atherton Tablelands. Only one hour twenty from Cairns International Airport.
