What a fantastic place and absolutely divine lodgings. The bed is unbelievably comfy! I simply love the outside kitchen - I could happily spend more time in this place! Saw some great birds including Pied and White-eared Monarch and the Lesser Sooty Owl. We didn't just see the platypus, ... we watched it!!
Thanks for everything the attention to detail has not gone un-noticed. I will be back.

Lovely welcome to us by the Cambage family on our arrival. Swimming in the rock pool and nice gathering at the fireplace. We really enjoyed the lodge which is built so that you can still enjoy living in nature, all is open, especially cooking on the vernadah and showering in the open air, wonderful!

We have had a wonderful time... gorgeous lodge nestled in the valley by the creek and surrounded by mountains. Our highlights: the daily mist over the mountains, the only sounds being birds and bubbling creek, eating locally caught fresh barramundi, fresh local pineapples, birds birds birds!, Saturday markets at Yungabirra, morning walk up the bush track for a swim at the weir, trip to Mossman Gorge, welcoming hospitality, the shower is amazing!, a great indoor/outdoor kitchen. We have really enjoyed discovering the hinterland, away from the bustle and rush of the coastal tourist havens. This was a much better option for us to stop a while, slow down and totally relax. Well done in creating such a wonderful haven.

This has to be one of the best kept secrets of the region. It has the perfect balance of modern design fitting into the natural surrounding. Everything compliments everything giving a true outback bush setting but with every modern convenience. Fantastic achievement and very inspirational. Having chanced upon Wendy and Glenn's Sweetwater Lodge it did not disappoint in any respect. The well appointed lodge, together with the extensive and beautiful property make for an excellent venue or those seeking a little luxury combined with great wildlife viewing opportunity; the platypus pool being the highlight for us. All this coupled with the excellent hospitality from the owners and their charming sons, made for a most enjoyable few days. Old South Wales is a long journey but we look forward to a return visit in the not too distant future.
